Last week we made a 150km drive from our town to Sherbrooke, Québec to bring our little 2001 BMW 740iL to BMW Sherbrooke for an inspection and battery programming. Why would we do such a thing? Find out!
As sort of a follow up to our 30 month maintenance update for our 2001 BMW 740iL, we're taking our car to get the battery we bought programmed. At the same time our local BMW dealership offered us a $59 55 point vehicle inspection which comes with 1 year of BMW Roadside Assistance, or as we look at it, a free inspection with the purchase of BMW Roadside Assistance. We wanted to use this opportunity to see what mechanical work needs to be done with the car.
This video is a more relaxed episode inline with our TestDrive Garage episodes. We talk about some of the issues we're having with this E38 7 Series along with reasons why we're going to the dealer with it. We then go over the notes made by the techs at BMW Sherbrooke to understand what we need to do in order to get this car running in top condition once again.
